Rippin’ Lips Charters and Guide Service offers 4-hour and 6-hour recreational fishing trips out of the Saco River for striped bass, bluefish and mackerel.  We also offer full day off-shore trips for sharks and ground fish, such as cod and haddock.

Captain Jim will pick up your party at the Camp Ellis Pier.  We’ll start off by catching a few mackerel, then head along the rocks to start catching striped bass. 

If the bluefish are running, we’ll use artificial lures to bring them on board.

If you prefer the off-shore trip, we’ll steam out from the Camp Ellis Pier bright and early. We’ll start the day by catching a few ground fish, then head further out where we’ll find the sharks.

Fish Lips! is our 2-hour trip designed around the younger angler.  We will look at a lighthouse and shipwreck, do some seal watching, pull lobster traps and see what is inside for sea creatures, and do a little fishing too!

The Boat and Equipment

Rippin' Lips is a 23' custom built Pacific Boat. The boats design is perfect for Maine's rugged rocky coast line. She is powered with a Suzuki four-stroke motor which is a quiet, smokeless, clean burning, environmentally friendly motor. On board you will find the best electronics including:  2 VHF Radios, Cellular Phone, Radar, GPS Chart Plotter, fish finder and a GPS Epirb.

All fishing gear is provided.  We use quality Shakespeare, Shimano, and Penn equipment.  All bait and tackle is provided.

• A sense of humor

• If you are susceptible to seasickness, please take medication at least one hour prior to your scheduled departure (or otherwise according to directions).
